Access is the design constraint. Every decision in the WR120C zip screen follows from getting a wide unit into a building. Components are sized to pass a stairwell turn and a standard service lift, then joined with machined fittings that align without shimming. No lifting equipment is needed on site, which shortens the installation window and removes the most common cause of transit damage.
Tube selection decides the envelope. Width and drop are governed by the roller tube, not the fabric. A 78 double-wall tube carries the extra span at 5.4 m; a 63 mm aluminium tube trades width for a 6 m drop on tall openings. Specifying the tube against the actual opening keeps the panel rigid rather than forcing one size across a whole schedule.
Balance reduces wear, not just noise. The smart balancer moves the load point as the screen travels, so the fabric is not pulled unevenly at either end of the stroke. The effect is longer fabric and motor life and fewer service calls — a cost item that matters on projects running dozens of panels.
The edge stays in the rail. A dual-layer bead chain guide rail doubles the reinforcement behind the fabric edge. Combined with clip-on side rails that sit tight to the wall face, the screen resists lift-out under wind load, which is where conventional wide blinds fail first.
